AI Business Analyst / Product Owner Contract Role South Dublin ( 3 days onsite)
We are seeking an experienced AI Business Analyst / Product Owner to support the delivery of AI-enabled automation solutions across an enterprise technology environment.
The role will work closely with business stakeholders, architects and engineering teams to identify opportunities, define requirements, shape solutions and ensure successful delivery from discovery through to production and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and workshops to identify AI automation and process improvement opportunities.
- Define problem statements, business objectives, KPIs and measurable success criteria.
- Assess solution feasibility with business and technical stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into scope, acceptance criteria and delivery objectives.
- Act as Product Owner throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle.
- Work with architects and engineers to align business requirements with technical solutions.
- Review solution designs, AI agent instructions, prompts and workflows.
- Manage and prioritise delivery backlogs based on business value and technical constraints.
- Lead demonstrations, solution reviews and stakeholder discussions.
- Support UAT, production readiness and implementation activities.
- Define test scenarios and quality standards, and perform functional and behavioural testing.
- Support automated testing and evaluation of AI-enabled solutions.
- Monitor performance, user feedback and business outcomes after deployment.
Must-Have Experience
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or similar technology delivery role.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading workshops, discovery and requirements-gathering activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and data analysis skills.
- Ability to define business outcomes, KPIs and acceptance criteria.
- Experience working within Agile software delivery environments.
- Strong testing and quality assurance mindset.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
Preferred / Desirable
- Product Owner experience within Agile delivery teams.
- Experience with AI, Generative AI, analytics or automation solutions.
- Experience designing or reviewing prompts, AI agent instructions and conversational workflows.
- Financial services, corporate finance or other regulated-industry experience.
- Experience with SQL, reporting or business analytics tools.
- Experience defining testing and QA strategies.
- Familiarity with AI agent platforms, enterprise automation technologies, Jira and Confluence.
- Experience delivering technology solutions within large organisations.
