Role Overview:
We are looking for a BIM Consultant / BIM Developer with strong experience in BIM, IFC models, 3D data, and engineering systems.
The person will work on an AI-powered BIM review solution that analyzes BIM/IFC models and engineering information to identify design and commissioning issues and generate review reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop web-based BIM applications.
- Work with BIM/IFC models, metadata, and engineering data.
- Extract and analyze information from 3D BIM models.
- Work with IFC model viewers and PDF/document data.
- Link identified issues to specific BIM model elements using IFC GUIDs.
- Use AI/LLMs to assess models against engineering and commissioning rules.
- Work with engineering/commissioning experts to improve AI results.
- Generate reports showing issues, recommendations, and approve/reject decisions.
- Support testing, pilots, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years experience in BIM Development
- IFC data and IFC model processing
- 3D / Spatial Geometry
- Engineering systems
- IFC GUIDs, metadata, and model relationships
- At least one development language: C#, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript
- Web-based BIM viewers such as xeokit, IFC.js, Autodesk Forge/APS, or similar
- BuildingSMART IFC standards
- AI/LLM integration, Prompt Engineering, RAG or Agentic AI
- PDF parsing / document processing
- Construction, commissioning, engineering, or asset management
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Good to Have:
- Azure AI Services / OpenAI
- LangChain, Semantic Kernel or CrewAI
- BCF and BIM issue-management workflows
- Graph or vector databases
- Experience with AI-powered BIM/compliance solutions
- Construction, commissioning, digital engineering, or smart-building projects
