As a senior or lead data scientist on the personal lines media team, you’ll research, develop and implement improvements and advances to our Real-time Bidding (RTB) API, which returns tens of millions of bids a month as we compete for online affiliate advertising space with first-price auction dynamics. You’ll work on Advertisement Personalization: a new area of research to explore whether we can optimize the funnel by putting the right ad copy in front of a lead. You’ll be responsible for Lifetime-Value (LTV) Modeling: predicting and refining LTV and its components (Premium, Profitability, Retention) to drive competitive advantage through segmentation. In addition, you’ll be responsible for Yield Modeling: predicting the likelihood of a sale across various contexts as we seek to improve segmentation and calibration to drive competitive advantage and achieve cost-per-sale targets as well as budget and sales forecasting.
This is a remote position for U.S.- based work only, requiring occasional travel for meetings and/or training.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Statistical/Quantitative Modeling and/or Machine Learning tools (R, Python, etc.) and in using various database tools (e.g. Hadoop, SQL) processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Or, bachelor's degree with quantitative focus in Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field (e.g. Mathematics) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Statistical/Quantitative Modeling and/or Machine Learning tools (R, Python, etc.) and in using various database tools (e.g. Hadoop, SQL) processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Or, master's degree or higher with quantitative focus in Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field (e.g. Mathematics).
Preferred Skills
- Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models.
- Proficient in Python for data analysis, modeling, api development and automation.
- Experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda, EC2, and S3, for deploying scalable solutions as well as experience with Docker/Podman for containerization and deployment of model-serving applications.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, for collaborative development
- Experience with Github workflows and automations
Compensation
- $89,600-$164,800/year depending on position level
- Gainshare annual cash incentive program up to 30%-40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance.
