As a lead data analyst on the Subrogation Analytics team, you’ll evaluate subrogation performance, identify recovery opportunities, and enable data-driven decision-making across the Subrogation function. Subrogation is the process of recovering claim payments from at-fault parties and their insurance carriers. In this role, you’ll use advanced analytics, statistical techniques, predictive modeling, machine learning, and data science methods to identify trends, uncover recovery opportunities, and enhance operational effectiveness. You’ll work closely with partners across Subrogation, Data Science, and Process teams to deliver actionable insights, shape strategic priorities, and translate complex analyses into clear business recommendations. You’ll also lead high-impact analyses, including cost-benefit assessments and strategic initiatives, to help partners evaluate performance, prioritize opportunities, and make informed decisions. As a leader, you’ll guide team members, mentor junior analysts, and elevate analytical capability across the team.

Must-have Qualifications
- A minimum of eight years of analytical work experience.
- {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of seven years of analytical work experience.
- {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of five years analytical work experience
Preferred Skills
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with experience working with large, complex, structured and unstructured datasets, with a strong foundation in statistical methods and model evaluation.
- Experience applying machine learning and predictive modeling techniques such as classification, regression, clustering, decision trees, random forests, and gradient boosting.
- Experience in exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model development, validation, performance measurement, and interpretation of model outputs.
- Proficiency in SQL, with strong programming skills in Python, R, SAS, or similar tools, plus experience with Excel, with the ability to identify null values, along with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong communication skills, sound data quality and data preparation knowledge, and preferred experience in Subrogation, Claims, Insurance Operations, or a related function.
Compensation
- $98,400 - $131,200 /year
- Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
