About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Development Lead to own the design, development, and

delivery of Inventory Management systems. The ideal candidate combines deep technical

expertise in the Microsoft technology stack with strong domain knowledge of

inventory/supply chain workflows (stock tracking, replenishment, procurement, warehouse

operations, order-to-fulfillment cycles).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, architecture, and development of inventory management

modules/systems

• Translate business requirements (stock levels, reorder points, SKU management,

barcode/RFID tracking, vendor/PO management) into scalable technical solutions

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers; conduct code

reviews and enforce engineering best practices

• Own solution architecture decisions across the Microsoft stack (.NET/.NET Core, C#,

SQL Server, Azure)

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and QA to define sprint plans

and delivery timelines

• Ensure system performance, scalability, and data integrity for high-volume

transactional inventory data

• Drive integration with upstream/downstream systems (ERP, POS, procurement,

logistics/warehouse management systems)

• Manage technical debt, system upgrades, and legacy modernization efforts

• Participate in architecture reviews, sprint planning, and stakeholder demos

• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and compliance

requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 12–15 years of overall software development experience, with 10+ years specifically

building Inventory Management or Supply Chain systems

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft technology stack: C#, .NET / .NET Core,

ASP.NET MVC/Web API, SQL Server, Entity Framework

Development Lead – Inventory Management Systems

• Solid understanding of inventory management concepts: SKU/item master data,

stock movements, reorder/replenishment logic, warehouse/bin management,

batch/lot tracking, barcode/RFID integration

• Experience with Azure cloud services (App Services, Azure SQL, Service Bus,

DevOps/CI-CD pipelines) preferred

• Proven experience leading development teams (team size, sprint ownership, code

reviews)

• Strong grasp of software architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven design,

REST APIs)

• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodology

• Excellent stakeholder communication and requirement-gathering skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially around high-volume

transactional data

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience integrating inventory systems with ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle,

Dynamics 365) or EHR/healthcare supply chain systems

• Exposure to reporting/BI tools (Power BI, SSRS)

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)

• Experience with message queuing (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Kafka)

Education

BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
