Position Summary:
CAA Brand Consulting is a strategy-led, full-service marketing agency with expertise in Cultural and Consumer Insights, Data and Analytics, Talent/Influencer and Property Partnership Advisory, Experiential, Social Impact, Creative Services, and Content and Digital Strategy. These integrated capabilities come together to offer solutions from planning through execution, and we pull in a collective perspective of expertise with each client brief to ensure we are tapping into diverse thinking and building strategies reflective of the marketplace and culture we work within.
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Creative Director, Experiential to join our award-winning international team and play a pivotal role working across sport and entertainment. You will lead, direct, and inspire a talented team to create stand-out, exciting, big ideas and experiences that drive brand love for our client across the worlds of sport and entertainment.
You are a confident self-starter who is currently working as an Experiential Creative Director in a busy agency environment and looking for a new creative challenge. You’ll bring that experience and a portfolio of work that demonstrates how you’ve used creative thinking to help solve a wide range of brand and business challenges. You are a creative team leader adept at thinking in both the visual world and written word and a master at presenting and selling ideas to both clients and account teams. You are hands-on, confident, energetic and ambitious with an entrepreneurial mindset and excited by the opportunity to shape, inspire, and nurture a team of dynamic talent.
Essential Functions:
• Direct all aspects of experiential creative, working with internal and client partners to understand marketing objectives, consumer insights and market research that informs creative strategies and determines how brands show up across sports and entertainment partnerships. Manage a team of art directors, designers, and experiential specialists with an energy and positive creative culture that inspires them to bring their A-game every day. Lead the development of concepts into detailed, integrated activations and delivery of assets, and oversee the creative install of the activation on-site. Partner with account and production teams to develop solutions that satisfy brand goals while delivering against operational schedules and budgets. Craft and lead compelling presentations that demonstrate strategic and conceptual thinking leading to client excitement and buy-in.
Requirements
• 12+ years of experience in the Experiential Creative space 7+ years creative/experiential/advertising/design agency experience at Associate Creative Director or Creative Director level Management experience leading a creative team including writing/conducting performance reviews and delivering positive and constructive feedback Demonstrated conceptual thinking and applied design A design practitioner who is inspired by the visual world around them and a portfolio of work that demonstrates your creativity and ability to work across multiple marketing channels A strategic thinker who offers creative counsel to our account and production team and clients Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and against tight deadlines A strong understanding of and working experience in partnership marketing A passion for new ideas and innovative thinking Expert knowledge in graphic design, advertising, branding, customer comms, content and social media Expert working technical knowledge of Adobe CC and Microsoft software packages Ambitious, and energetic, approaching each day with a can-do attitude Ability to multi-task A flair for interior design, materiality, prop styling, furniture selection and vignette creation Strong fabrication and production knowledge A keen eye for detail that sweats the small stuff A finger on the pulse and up-to-date knowledge of social, pop-cultural and entertainment industry trends
Location
This role will be located in our New York office. The Brand Consulting department offers a flexible work schedule and requires a minimum of three days per week on-site.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $188,000 - $230,000. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
