About the Role
As a Senior Tax & Attest Manager, you will play a key leadership role in managing and delivering both tax and audit engagements for clients across various industries. You will oversee engagements from planning through completion, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and ensure high-quality, timely service across both tax and assurance work.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and oversee tax and audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of clients, providing proactive communication, strategic guidance, and exceptional service
- Review complex individual, partnership, S corporation, and corporate tax returns for accuracy and compliance
- Provide tax planning, consulting, and practical recommendations aligned with clients’ business and financial goals
- Review audit workpapers and financial statements and provide technical guidance throughout the audit process
- Assess internal controls, identify financial and operational risks, and provide actionable recommendations to clients
- Research complex federal and state tax matters and communicate recommendations clearly to clients and team members
- Manage multiple tax and audit engagements simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and client service
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships and identify opportunities to provide additional value and expand services
- Supervise, mentor, and develop tax and audit professionals through ongoing coaching, technical guidance, training, and performance feedback
- Collaborate with Partners and firm leadership to drive efficient engagement execution, strengthen client relationships, and support firm growth
What We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years of public accounting experience with significant experience across both tax and audit engagements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- Active CPA license required
- Strong experience reviewing complex individual, partnership, S corporation, and corporate tax returns, with solid knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Strong knowledge of GAAS and GAAP, with experience leading audit engagements from planning through completion
- Proven ability to manage multiple tax and audit engagements, including deadlines, budgets, quality, and client expectations
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact
- Demonstrated experience supervising, mentoring, and developing accounting professionals
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with tax, accounting, and audit software systems
