The Role
We are seeking a technically strong and solution-oriented Artificial Intelligence Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and improve AI-powered solutions. This part-time, fully remote role is ideal for an engineer who can translate business requirements into practical AI applications and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The successful candidate will contribute across the AI development lifecycle, from experimentation and model development through deployment, monitoring, optimization, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI and machine-learning solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Build, test, evaluate, and optimize models for accuracy, reliability, and performance.
- Work with structured and unstructured data to support AI development and experimentation.
- Develop intelligent applications, automation workflows, and AI-enabled business solutions.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data professionals, product teams, and business stakeholders.
- Integrate AI models and services into existing applications and digital platforms.
- Monitor deployed solutions and identify opportunities for performance and reliability improvements.
- Conduct experiments, evaluate results, and document technical findings.
- Support responsible AI practices, including security, privacy, reliability, and appropriate model usage.
- Research emerging AI technologies and recommend practical opportunities for adoption.
Requirements
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in AI engineering, machine learning, software engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, model development, evaluation, and optimization.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with modern AI and machine-learning frameworks.
- Knowledge of data processing, APIs, cloud environments, and software development practices.
- Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, natural language processing, or computer vision is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of model deployment, monitoring, versioning, and production considerations.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed technical and business teams.
