We're partnering with a scale-up Physical AI company developing intelligent software and hardware systems deployed in real world environments. As the company continues to scale, they're looking for a Senior Cloud Software Engineer to help build and evolve the cloud platform powering their products.
This is not a narrowly defined infrastructure role. You'll work across software development, cloud services, platform architecture and operational challenges. The ideal candidate enjoys taking ownership of problems, navigating ambiguity and balancing long term technical excellence with short term business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain cloud-native software and services supporting customer facing products
- Build scalable and reliable backend systems using AWS
- Take ownership of a large scale cloud migration initiative
- Design and implement secure cloud services, authentication mechanisms and access controls while maintaining reliability and scalability
- Contribute across software development, infrastructure, platform engineering and operational initiatives
- Support system observability, monitoring, reliability and operational excellence
- Work with distributed systems, APIs, cloud services and data pipelines
- Troubleshoot complex issues across software and infrastructure environments
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience (e.g., Python, Java, Go etc.)
- Experience building and supporting cloud-native systems in AWS
- Experience implementing cloud security and security-by-design principles, including IAM, authentication, authorization, secrets management and secure software development practices
- Experience working with Docker and containerized applications
- Familiarity with distributed systems, asynchronous architectures and event-driven services
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Comfortable moving between software development, platform engineering and SRE/infrastructure responsibilities
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Experience supporting infrastructure, SRE or platform engineering initiatives
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning or data-driven products
- Experience within startup or scale-up environments
- Experience with OAuth, RBAC, audit logging and supporting SOC2, ISO 27001 or similar compliance initiatives
