- A typical day includes collaborating with engineering, construction, and suppliers to manage sourcing activities, supplier performance, contract negotiations, capacity planning, and risk mitigation for global electrical and mechanical pre-assembly categories.
- Responsibilities include leading supplier meetings, evaluating proposals, supporting project execution, and driving cost, quality, and delivery improvements across the supply base.
Summary
- The Procurement Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies for modular infrastructure solutions supporting large-scale construction programs.
- This role manages supplier relationships, commercial negotiations, capacity planning, and procurement activities across electrical, mechanical and other pre-assembled infrastructure solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global category strategies for modular electrical and mechanical infrastructure solutions.
- Lead supplier sourcing, competitive bidding, contract negotiations, and commercial management activities.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure capacity, quality, cost competitiveness, and on-time delivery.
- Partner with engineering, construction, quality, and operations teams to support successful program execution.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, manufacturing capacity, quality performance, and delivery reliability.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while driving continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
- Provide category insights, recommendations, and updates to business stakeholders and leadership.

Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in procurement, category management, supply chain, construction, manufacturing, or infrastructure industries.
- Experience managing strategic suppliers, commercial agreements, and cross-functional business initiatives.
What is the ideal background of a candidate for this role?
- Ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or supply chain roles supporting industrial, construction, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing global suppliers, contract negotiations, and complex technical categories is preferred. Datacenter construction or procurement experience would be ideal.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with modular construction, industrial manufacturing, electrical systems, mechanical systems, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Experience supporting global supplier networks and complex sourcing programs.

Salary Range: $1,10,000 - 1,15,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
