Are you ready to stop just responding to security alerts and start changing what happens next?
I’m hiring a Security Operations Engineer for an established, award-winning fintech whose technology is trusted by household names and major organisations to securely connect their finance systems with their banks.
Security is fundamental to what they do. You’ll be protecting sensitive financial data and the infrastructure behind business-critical payments.
You’ll be working across:
• Incident response and threat investigation
• SIEM and security monitoring
• Vulnerability management
• SAST, DAST, SCA and SBOM
• Python or PowerShell automation
• Cloud security
• Security tooling and integrations
• AI-enabled security tooling
• Embedding security directly into the software development lifecycle
The exciting bit?
You won’t just be handed alerts and asked to follow a runbook.
If you investigate an incident and think, “we could detect this better” or “we could automate this”, you’ll be encouraged to take that idea and implement it.
You’ll work closely with Software Engineers, have genuine ownership over security improvements and get exposure well beyond traditional SOC work.
They’re looking for someone proactive, curious and driven - someone who wants to understand why something happened and make sure the security setup is better because of it.
💰 Up to £40,000
📍 Manchester – 1–2 days per week onsite
