I’m currently hiring for an AI & Data company in Japan that works with major banks, securities firms, and other financial institutions on advanced Data Science and AI projects.
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead projects from problem definition and modeling through implementation and MLOps, with a strong focus on real business impact.
The team also develops its own AI products, so knowledge from client projects can become reusable technologies and products.
What you’ll work on:
- Lead Data Science and Machine Learning projects
- Build ML models using large-scale structured / tabular data
- Work with Python, feature engineering, and model evaluation
- Design MLOps and continuous model improvement
- Define technical approaches directly with clients and AI Consultants
- Mentor other Data Scientists and build reusable technical assets
What they are looking for:
- Strong hands-on Machine Learning / Data Science experience
- Experience with Python and structured data
- Experience leading technical projects or initiatives
- MLOps experience is a plus
- Financial industry experience is a plus, but NOT required
- Business-level Japanese is required
