I’m currently hiring for a University of Tokyo-born AI tech company that works with leading enterprises to transform Japan’s core industries through AI.
The company works across manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, energy, and other major industries, combining AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, and deep domain expertise to take solutions from 0 to 1 through production and real business adoption.
As an FDE, you will work directly with customers to understand how their business actually operates, identify what should be built, and turn ambiguous problems into working AI / LLM solutions.
What you’ll work on:
- Identify real business problems directly with enterprise customers
- Design and build AI / LLM solutions around existing workflows
- Rapidly develop prototypes and bring them into production
- Work on RAG, AI Agents, and modern AI applications
- Own projects from problem definition through implementation
- Continuously improve solutions based on real user feedback
What they are looking for:
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
- Experience taking ambiguous requirements into implementation
- Python experience is highly preferred
- LLM, RAG, AI Agent, cloud, or data experience is a plus
- Previous FDE or AI project experience is NOT required
- Ability to work directly with customers in Japanese
