🚨 Hiring: Instructional Systems Designer – Manufacturing
📍 Location: Warren, Michigan
💼 Contract: W2 | 12+ Months
We’re looking for an experienced Instructional Systems Designer with a strong background in manufacturing and plant environments to develop impactful learning solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity, standardized work, and operational performance.
🔹 What You’ll Do
- Design and develop engaging eLearning, WBT, ILT, VILT, blended learning, simulations, videos, and job aids
- Partner with manufacturing SMEs, plant leaders, engineers, and frontline teams to identify learning and performance gaps
- Apply ADDIE, SAM, adult learning, scenario-based learning, and rapid prototyping methodologies
- Translate complex manufacturing and technical processes into clear, practical learning experiences
- Develop learning objectives, assessments, facilitator guides, scripts, and performance-support materials
- Support manufacturing launches, technical upskilling, safety, quality, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage multiple learning projects and collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Support LMS implementation and learning-content integration
🔹 What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in Instructional Design, eLearning, or Curriculum Development
- 2+ years of experience supporting manufacturing, plant operations, launches, or shop-floor capability development
- Hands-on experience with Articulate Storyline and Rise
- Experience developing both WBT/eLearning and ILT/VILT
- Strong understanding of adult learning and instructional design principles
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, standardized work, Lean/continuous improvement, safety, or quality
- Experience with Vyond, video tools, and/or graphic design software
- Strong communication, consulting, stakeholder-management, and project-management skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
⭐ Preferred: Experience with GMS principles, Action Mapping, Design Thinking, scenario/branching learning, regulated environments, or a learning portfolio demonstrating previous work.
