Comrise is currently looking for an experienced and hands-on System Integration and Test Engineer to support cutting-edge vehicle-centric systems across Motion, Body, and Electrical/Electronic (E/E) Architecture domains.

In this role, you will lead critical system integration and testing initiatives across Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments and live vehicle platforms. You will troubleshoot complex technical issues from discovery through resolution, ensuring world-class reliability, safety, and performance for autonomous vehicle operations.

Position Overview

- Job Title: System Integration and Test Engineer

- Location: Foster City, CA (100% In-Person / Onsite at Lincoln Centre)

- Pay Rate: $92.34 USD Per Hour (W2 Basis)

- Schedule: Full-Time Contract (30+ hours/week)

- Assignment Duration: Contract through 09/10/2026

Key Responsibilities

- System & Vehicle Integration Testing: Conduct end-to-end integration testing at both the HIL test bench and vehicle levels to characterize system performance under nominal and off-nominal conditions.

- Data Analysis & Risk Mitigation: Analyze test and vehicle telemetry data to identify integration risks, work cross-functionally to mitigate impacts on program milestones, and improve overall system behavior, controls, and diagnostics.

- Complex Issue Resolution: Investigate and drive root-cause resolution for complex system integration issues discovered during development, vehicle testing, and active fleet service operations.

- Documentation & Tracking: Create, track, and maintain comprehensive documentation, technical findings, and issue statuses using Jira and Confluence.

- Validation & Improvements: Support the validation of corrective actions and software/hardware improvements across both test benches and live vehicles.

Required Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree (BS) or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Experience: 6 to 8+ years of proven experience in vehicle systems development, integration, and testing roles (specifically in electric vehicles or advanced automotive platforms).

- Automotive Protocols: Hands-on experience with vehicle electrical architectures and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).

- Data Acquisition Tools: Proficiency with instrumentation and data acquisition tools (e.g., Vector CANalyzer, ETAS INCA, Intrepid, CSM, etc.).

- Electrical Troubleshooting: Strong hands-on electrical hardware troubleshooting skills (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, electrical schematics, Saleae Logic Analyzer, etc.).

- Communication & Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical, root-cause troubleshooting, and cross-functional written/verbal communication skills.

Bonus Qualifications

- Experience with real-time embedded control system development.

- Hands-on testing experience within xIL (HIL/SIL/MIL) simulation environments.

- Familiarity with Grafana and advanced data analysis toolsets.
