Overview

The Nordea Finance Programme is initiated by DFSA Orders and encompasses significant activities, including new data integrations, scenario development, testing, and activation across multiple countries.

The consultant will contribute to delivering the Nordea Finance receivables stream through a dedicated Contextual Monitoring solution, prioritized for 2026.

Main Responsibilities

- Own the development and validation of transaction monitoring models, emphasizing documentation, review, and governance.

- Drive model governance activities within TMU, including validation assessments and implementation of second line feedback.

- Establish and execute the direction for model development and experimental design, balancing analytical rigor with practical constraints.

- Document model design and outcomes, collaborating with the analytics team to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Provide hands-on support for prototyping tests and analytical methodologies.

- Mentor and collaborate within the analytics team to develop, test, and implement standard operating procedures.

- Represent the organization professionally in collaboration with both external and internal stakeholders.

Key Requirements

- Extensive experience in model risk management, governance, and validation.

- Strong background in data science, statistics, and quantitative methods.

- Experience in academic or technical writing, particularly for model documentation.

- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Mathematics.

- Experience in Financial Crime/AML, particularly in transaction monitoring and with technology suppliers (preferred).

- Experience as a model validator or quantitative risk analyst (preferred).

- Organised, structured, and proactive in taking initiative.

- Assertive communication and results-oriented.

- Able to adapt to a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

- Good understanding of Nordea Finance products.

- Familiarity with the Quantexa platform solution.
