Senior n8n Automation Specialist

We are supporting a leading international organization on an exciting digital transformation initiative and are looking for an experienced n8n Automation Specialist to help revolutionize document management processes across logistics, customs, and supply chain operations.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will design, build, and optimize advanced automation workflows that eliminate manual effort and improve operational efficiency. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to automate the processing of logistics and customs documentation using modern technologies, AI capabilities, and system integrations.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and deploying end-to-end workflows using n8n
- Automating document processing and data extraction using OCR and AI technologies
- Building validation logic to ensure document completeness and accuracy
- Creating automated follow-up processes for missing documentation
- Integrating multiple systems through APIs, webhooks, and databases
- Improving workflow performance, reliability, and scalability
- Producing clear technical and process documentation
- Supporting the ongoing operation and enhancement of automation solutions
What We're Looking For
- Proven hands-on experience with n8n in production environments
- Strong background in workflow automation and process digitalization
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python for custom workflow development
- Knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON/XML, and system integrations
- Experience with OCR, intelligent document processing, or AI-powered automation
- Understanding of logistics, customs, import/export, or supply chain processes
- Ability to translate business requirements into automated solutions
- Fluent German and strong English communication skills
