Overview
Spectrum Search Group has been retained by a large, privately held infrastructure manufacturing and engineering organization with multiple operations across the central and southern DFW area. Our client is a multi-entity business experiencing steady growth and investing in operational and finance transformation.
We are seeking a Divisional Controller to lead the accounting function across several operating units. This is a high-impact role with significant visibility to executive leadership and the opportunity to build processes, improve reporting, and develop a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full-cycle close process across multiple business units, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
- Lead and improve month-end close, working to streamline processes and reduce cycle time
- Oversee financial reporting, consolidations, and internal controls across a multi-entity structure
- Partner closely with operations to provide financial insight and support decision-making
- Identify opportunities to enhance systems, reporting capabilities, and accounting processes
- Build, mentor, and develop an on-site accounting team
- Assist in driving consistency and standardization across locations
Qualifications
- 7+ years of accounting experience (some public accounting preferred)
- Manager ready to step into a broader leadership role
- Exposure to cost accounting and inventory concepts
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations and leadership
- Hands-on mindset with a track record of process improvement and problem-solving
