Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect – Salesforce Loyalty Management to lead the architecture and technical delivery of a Referral Marketing MVP.
The ideal candidate will have deep, hands-on expertise with Salesforce Loyalty Management, Salesforce Data Cloud, Apex, MuleSoft, Platform Events, and enterprise event-driven architecture. This role will be responsible for designing scalable solutions, leading technical implementation, establishing integration and data standards, and ensuring secure, high-quality delivery of the MVP.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Architecture & Data Modeling
- Architect scalable technical solutions using Salesforce Loyalty Management.
- Define and implement custom reward ledgers, transaction journals, point accrual and redemption logic, and referral event triggers.
- Develop scalable data models that support high-volume member transactions and future program expansion.
- Establish technical design patterns and standards across the Salesforce platform.
Integrations & Data Flows
- Design secure, real-time REST API and MuleSoft integration flows connecting core banking systems, Salesforce Data Cloud, and member portal channels.
- Define enterprise integration patterns for reliable, event-driven data exchange.
- Ensure data synchronization, error handling, monitoring, and transaction integrity across integrated systems.
Apex & Automation Engineering
- Lead hands-on technical development using Apex, Flow Orchestrator, Platform Events, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Implement referral validation rules, transaction processing, reward calculations, and point-balance management.
- Design secure and efficient automation supporting real-time loyalty and referral transactions.
Performance & Scalability
- Establish transaction-processing standards capable of supporting high-volume member activity.
- Optimize Salesforce implementations to minimize platform throttling, processing bottlenecks, and latency.
- Apply best practices for governor limits, asynchronous processing, event-driven architecture, and scalable Apex development.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure custom data flows, member reward records, and transactional schemas meet financial-services security requirements.
- Apply Salesforce security best practices across data access, integrations, APIs, and application architecture.
- Ensure solutions align with applicable credit union governance and enterprise security standards.
Code Reviews & Technical Delivery
- Conduct detailed technical architecture and design reviews.
- Perform rigorous code reviews and provide technical guidance to Salesforce developers.
- Oversee development-team deliverables and ensure adherence to architectural standards.
- Drive high-quality, zero-defect deployments for the MVP rollout.
- Collaborate with business, product, integration, security, and engineering stakeholders throughout delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Deep, hands-on experience architecting Salesforce Loyalty Management solutions.
- Strong expertise with the Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud ecosystems.

- Demonstrated ability to lead technical architecture, development, code reviews, and enterprise Salesforce delivery.
- Experience working in financial services, banking, or credit union environments is highly desirable.
