POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support precision manufacturing operations in Orlando, FL.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a production manufacturing environment with strong knowledge of CAD, manufacturing processes, process improvement, and engineering documentation.

This role will focus on special processes, small-parts assembly, tooling, automation, and shop-floor technical support while helping improve quality, cost, and production efficiency.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive process improvements within small-parts assembly, paint, and plating operations.

Interpret engineering drawings and create detailed work instructions.

Perform root cause analysis of component non-conformances and implement corrective actions.

Create fixture and tooling concepts, drawings, and models.

Identify and support implementation of automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.

Participate in equipment evaluation, selection, and capital projects.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting on the production floor.

Support manufacturing process development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Monitor quality, schedule, and cost performance.

Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and other cross-functional teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline.

3+ years of CAD experience using Siemens NX, CREO, Pro/ENGINEER, SolidWorks, or similar.

3+ years of experience working in a production manufacturing environment.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED / DESIRED SKILLS

Experience with MES, PLM, and ERP systems.

Experience with small-parts precision assembly, including pin installation, rivets, helicoils, etc.

GD&T interpretation experience.

Experience with CREO or Siemens NX.

Aerospace / defense manufacturing experience.

Experience with special processes including plating, anodizing, passivation, chem-film, coatings, and heat treatment.

Experience with paint application and masking processes.

Experience using precision measuring tools and equipment.

Manufacturing automation experience.

3D printing experience.

Familiarity with ISO 9000 / AS9100 and military specifications.
