Rail Logistics Coordinator | Fortune 500 Energy Company
We’re looking for a Rail Logistics Coordinator to join a Fortune 500 Energy Client. If you have experience in rail transportation, logistics operations, fleet tracking, or supply chain coordination, this is an excellent opportunity to support critical rail movements across a large-scale energy network while working with railroads, terminals, and internal stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
- Track and monitor railcar movements using transportation management and railroad systems
- Coordinate shipment execution, railcar allocations, and rail fleet status updates
- Investigate delayed railcars and resolve service issues by working directly with railroads
- Generate bills of lading, diversions, reships, and assist with rail billing activities
- Maintain accurate rail shipment records, status logs, and operational reporting
- Use Excel and logistics data to build metrics, identify trends, and improve operational performance
- Collaborate with internal teams, rail vendors, and storage facilities to ensure efficient rail operations
- Support data integrity efforts and troubleshoot shipment or billing discrepancies
What You Bring:
- 2+ years of experience in rail logistics, transportation, supply chain, or fleet operations
- Strong understanding of rail freight movement and railcar lifecycle management
- Experience troubleshooting shipment delays and coordinating with carriers or railroads
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, data imports, reporting, and analysis
- Strong problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) preferred
- SAP experience is a plus
📍 Location: Houston, TX (United States)
💵 Pay: $25 – $28 per hour
