Professional Civil Engineer – Land Development

Our client is seeking an accomplished Professional Civil Engineer to join a growing civil engineering team supporting land development and infrastructure work across the Phoenix market. This is an opportunity for an Arizona licensed P.E. to combine hands-on technical expertise with project coordination, mentorship, and client interaction. The right candidate will step into meaningful project responsibility, help guide engineering teams, and contribute to the successful delivery of residential, commercial, transportation, and drainage assignments.

Focus:
- Guide civil engineering projects through each stage of development, translating initial concepts into complete, construction-ready solutions.
- Translate project goals into practical design approaches, work plans, and coordinated schedules for engineering teams.
- Provide day to day technical direction to engineers, designers, and other project contributors.
- Evaluate plans and calculations for sound engineering judgment, completeness, constructability, and regulatory alignment.
- Anticipate design challenges and help the team resolve technical issues before they affect project commitments.
- Coordinate several active assignments at once while keeping priorities, staffing, budgets, and deadlines visible.
- Develop trusted working relationships with clients by communicating clearly and staying responsive to changing project needs.
- Coach developing professionals and contribute to a collaborative, accountable engineering environment.
- Partner with senior leadership on project delivery, resource planning, and continued growth of the local practice.
Skill Set:
- Active Arizona Professional Engineer license.
- 6+ years of professional engineering experience supporting site development or infrastructure projects, with exposure to areas such as private development, roadway systems, or stormwater improvements.
- Strong technical judgment with clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects and competing tasks.
- Sound decision making skills and a disciplined approach to quality, budgets, schedules, and client service.
- Detail focused, self-directed, and comfortable working closely with both technical teams and clients.
