Gentex Technologies Israel (GTI) is the Algorithm R&D Center of Excellence within Gentex Corporation. Our Data Collection & Validation team develops and operates automotive data collection platforms that support next-generation computer vision and AI systems for global OEMs.
The Role
We are looking for a hands-on integration engineer to own and support GTI’s automotive data collection infrastructure.
You will become the technical expert for our platforms, including Gentex Linux-based computers, automotive mirrors, cameras, sensors, vehicles, and simulation environments, ensuring they are reliable, documented, and ready for data collection activities.
Responsibilities
- Operate, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Gentex data collection systems proprietary Linux-based platforms.
- Integrate and calibrate cameras, mirrors, sensors, embedded devices, connectors, and vehicle interfaces.
- Support in-vehicle and simulator-based setups from deployment through investigation and resolution.
- Define, build, and validate new setups according to data collection and validation needs.
- Diagnose hardware, software, connectivity, and data quality issues, including root-cause analysis.
- Maintain documentation, setup procedures, inventory records, and configuration management.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams and support data collection and validation users.
Requirements
- Practical Engineering diploma (הנדסאי) or B.Sc. in a technical field.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with multidisciplinary hardware and software systems, including troubleshooting, system integration, and mechanical setups.
- Hands-on, independent, proactive, organized, practical problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple technical activities in parallel.
- Advantage: experience with automotive systems, vehicle integration, sensors, cameras, or embedded platforms.
- Advantage: working knowledge of Linux-based systems.
- Advantage: experience with USB, CAN, UART, I²C, SPI, test rigs, simulators, validation environments, or collaborative engineering workflows.
