Contract: Full-time

I’m supporting a leading pharmaceutical company with the appointment of a Country Manager – Nordics, responsible for the commercial performance of its business across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership position with responsibility for the P&L, commercial strategy, pricing and tenders, wholesale relationships, forecasting, supply chain and team performance across the region.

The opportunity

Reporting into the Northern Europe leadership team, you will take ownership of the Nordic business and play a key role in its next phase of growth.

Key responsibilities include:

- Full P&L ownership, including budgeting, forecasting and profitability.

- Developing and executing pricing and tender strategies across the Nordic markets.

- Managing major wholesale and customer relationships.

- Leading demand forecasting, sales planning, inventory and supply chain performance.

- Identifying opportunities to improve margins, efficiency and working capital.

- Leading and developing the commercial team within a lean organisation.

- Driving business transformation and improving operational discipline.

- Supporting the development of the portfolio, including opportunities beyond traditional generics.

About you

We're looking for an experienced pharmaceutical commercial leader with strong knowledge of the Nordic generics market.

You should have:

- Minimum 5+ years' experience within the Nordic generics market.

- Strong experience managing pharmaceutical tenders and pricing.

- Previous experience managing wholesale business / major wholesale accounts.

- Strong knowledge of the Swedish and Danish markets, ideally alongside Finland and/or Norway.

- Experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting and profitability.

- Strong analytical and commercial capabilities.

- Experience leading teams and managing organisational change.

- Fluency in at least one Nordic language, particularly Swedish, Danish or Norwegian.

- A hands-on approach and the ability to operate effectively within a lean organisation.

Experience across branded or innovative pharmaceuticals would be advantageous, particularly for candidates who have experience transitioning between generics and specialty/innovative products.

The opportunity

This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of a multi-country pharmaceutical business, with significant influence over commercial strategy, profitability, pricing, tenders and future growth.

The successful candidate will be expected to be commercially driven, analytically strong and comfortable operating at both strategic and operational level.

If you have the relevant Nordic generics and commercial leadership experience and would be interested in hearing more, please get in touch.
