The Senior Medical Affairs Manager – Endometrial Cancer will support the development and execution of the Medical Affairs strategy for a marketed oncology asset in Germany. The role will provide scientific leadership throughout the product lifecycle, with a particular focus on advancing the understanding and management of endometrial cancer.
As a key member of the oncology medical team, the successful candidate will identify and address scientific evidence gaps, generate actionable insights from external stakeholders, and collaborate cross-functionally to support optimal patient outcomes.
The role requires strong Medical Affairs experience within Oncology, together with strategic thinking, strong external stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to operate effectively within a matrix environment.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Strategy & Asset Leadership
- Support the development and implementation of the medical strategy for a marketed oncology asset in Germany.
- Provide scientific leadership across the product lifecycle and support the evolution of the asset's medical strategy.
- Develop and execute local medical activities and initiatives.
- Translate global medical strategies into actionable plans aligned with the German healthcare environment.
- Identify local patient needs, treatment pathways, unmet medical needs and scientific evidence gaps.
- Support evidence-generation strategies to strengthen the scientific value proposition and improve patient outcomes.
Scientific Engagement & External Partnerships
- Establish and maintain scientifically credible relationships with KOLs, investigators, academic centres, study groups and professional societies.
- Lead scientific exchange with external experts across Oncology, particularly within endometrial cancer.
- Organise and lead advisory boards, scientific exchange meetings and expert consultations.
- Gather and translate external medical insights into actionable recommendations for local, regional and global stakeholders.
- Represent the organisation at national and international congresses and scientific meetings.
Evidence Generation & Medical Education
- Identify evidence gaps and contribute to real-world evidence, investigator-sponsored research and collaborative research initiatives.
- Contribute to publication strategies and medical communication plans.
- Lead the development and review of scientific materials and educational content.
- Support internal medical training within the relevant oncology disease area.
- Monitor emerging clinical data and evolving standards of care.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the medical representative within cross-functional brand and asset teams.
- Partner closely with Field Medical, Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations and Global Medical teams.
- Provide medical input into strategic planning and business reviews.
- Contribute scientific expertise to patient-centric initiatives and healthcare system partnerships.
- Review relevant commercial materials to ensure scientific accuracy and appropriate in-label content.
Education
- Advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline.
- MD, PhD, PharmD or equivalent scientific qualification preferred.
Professional Experience
- Significant Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong experience within Oncology is required.
- Candidates with experience in solid tumour oncology, gynaecological oncology or endometrial cancer will be considered.
- Direct experience in endometrial cancer is advantageous but is not essential where the candidate has strong and relevant solid tumour or gynaecological oncology experience.
- Experience supporting or driving the medical strategy of a marketed asset in Germany.
- Good understanding of the German healthcare and reimbursement environment.
- Proven experience engaging with KOLs, investigators, academic centres and clinical research networks.
- Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration within a matrix organisation.
Technical & Scientific Knowledge
- Strong understanding of oncology treatment paradigms and evolving standards of care.
- Experience in solid tumours, gynaecological oncology or endometrial cancer would be highly relevant.
- Knowledge of clinical development, evidence generation and publication planning.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements governing Medical Affairs and scientific engagement.
- Ability to interpret clinical data and translate scientific insights into strategic medical priorities.

The ideal candidate will have experience engaging with KOLs and academic centres, strong scientific and strategic capabilities, and a proven ability to support marketed assets within the German market.
Candidates from any of the three backgrounds — solid tumours, gynaecological oncology or endometrial cancer — could be considered, provided they demonstrate strong Medical Affairs experience and the ability to operate strategically within a complex oncology environment.
