Role Overview

The successful candidate will support project planning and scheduling activities across all phases of data center construction. The role will assist with schedule development, progress tracking, reporting, risk identification, and schedule updates to help ensure projects remain aligned with agreed milestones and delivery objectives. The junior scheduler will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders, typically under the guidance of senior or lead schedulers, while progressively taking ownership of defined scheduling activities and work packages.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project close-out.

- Assist in defining schedule activities, sequencing workflows, estimating durations, and identifying dependencies.

- Support identification of critical paths, key milestones, and schedule interfaces.

- Update project schedules based on actual progress and information provided by project teams and contractors.

- Maintain schedule progress data and prepare regular schedule reports for review by senior team members.

- Compare actual progress against planned timelines and highlight potential deviations.

- Identify potential schedule risks, delays, and constraints and escalate material issues to senior scheduling team members.

- Support schedule impact assessments and basic “what-if” analyses.

- Assist with the preparation of recovery schedules and mitigation actions where required.

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to collect and validate scheduling information.

- Use scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), or equivalent planning systems.

- Maintain historical schedule data, assumptions, baselines, and supporting documentation.

- Support lessons learned, analysis, and continuous improvement of scheduling processes.

- Adhere to applicable financial, business, project control, and governance processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional qualification, in one of the following or a related discipline: • Engineering • Construction Management

- Project Management

- Quantity Surveying

- Architecture

- Planning or Project Controls

- Minimum of 2 to 10 years of relevant project scheduling, planning, or project controls experience.

- Working knowledge of scheduling concepts, including activity sequencing, dependencies, milestones, baselines, and critical path analysis.

- Experience using Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

- Strong numerical, analytical, and documentation skills.

- Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.

- Ability to work accurately within established scheduling processes and under appropriate supervision.
