About the Role
Build On Services (BOS) is partnering with a leading tier-one construction contractor to source an experienced Senior Project Engineer for a major project based in Sydney, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with a strong building background and proven exposure to tier 1/tier 2 major infrastructure projects to join a high-performing site team on a significant build.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day engineering activities across the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on program, and to specification.
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documentation to support construction planning and buildability.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure works are sequenced and delivered efficiently.
- Manage RFIs, technical queries, shop drawing reviews, and design coordination with consultants and the design team.
- Monitor and report on project progress, quality, cost, and program against baseline targets.
- Support procurement processes, including scope reviews and subcontractor packages.
- Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements, quality management systems, and relevant Australian standards/codes.
- Assist the Project Manager/Construction Manager with reporting, forecasting, and stakeholder management.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and graduate staff on-site.
🎯 Experience & Qualifications Required
- 8+ years' relevant experience within the Australian construction market (mandatory — local project delivery experience essential).
- Strong background delivering building projects (commercial, residential, mixed-use, or similar vertical construction).
- Demonstrated experience on Tier 1 or Tier 2 major infrastructure build projects.
- Preferred (not essential): experience on Metro, Hospital, and/or Data Centre projects.
- Tertiary qualification in Civil/Structural/Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Sound understanding of Australian building codes, standards, and regulatory/compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with project engineering tools (e.g., Aconex, Procore, MS Project, or similar).
- Current unrestricted working rights in Australia.
- Relevant site safety inductions (White Card) and willingness to complete project-specific inductions.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — comfortable liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-value project environment.
