About the Role
We are sourcing this role on behalf of our client, a U.S. based Digital Marketing Team You'll be embedded full-time with one of their client's as their dedicated marketing leader, "the eyes and ears on the ground" for their business. This isn't a design production seat: you'll decide what the business's marketing should prioritize, push back with judgment when a request doesn't serve the business's real interests, and know when to pull in support rather than trying to do everything yourself.
You won't be doing this alone. You'll have access to the Digital Marketing Team's shared Bridge Team (designers, writers, and optimization specialists) for execution, plus direct guidance from their tactical strategist and our UX/UI and customer-lifecycle strategist. Your job is to lead the marketing function, not to be a one-person marketing department.
What You'll Actually Do
- Own the client relationship as their day-to-day marketing point of contact
- Diagnose the business problem behind a request before jumping to execution
- Set priorities across competing demands, and communicate those priorities clearly when something has to wait
- Identify what skills or support a given task needs, and pull in the right resource (design, copy, technical, optimization) rather than defaulting to doing it yourself
- Push back, respectfully and with reasoning, when a client request carries real risk, legal, compliance, brand, or strategic, and propose a better path
- Follow up proactively when you're blocked or waiting on someone, rather than letting a deadline slip silently
- Use AI tools to work faster, with clear-eyed honesty about where they help and where human judgment still has to lead
What We're Looking For
Required experience:
- experience owning marketing initiatives, deciding the directions, and driving the process from conception through execution
- Comfort disagreeing constructively. We're not looking for someone who simply says yes to every request.
- Clear, calibrated communication: honest about what you know, don't know, and are still learning.
Strongly preferred:
- Experience working directly with business owners or executives
- Familiarity with CRM/marketing tooling (any platform, we care more about the thinking behind your workflow than which specific tool you've used)
- Comfort with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) as part of a real, current workflow
Nice to haves:
- Hands-on design skill in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or Canva. (execution support is available through our Bridge Team; you don't need to be the one producing every asset yourself.)
