Overview
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Financials Consultant with strong expertise across Oracle EBS and Oracle Cloud Financials, specialising in General Ledger. The role will support functional delivery across a complex Oracle environment, working across both EBS and Fusion Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Provide functional expertise across Oracle EBS and Oracle Cloud Financials, with a primary focus on General Ledger.
- Support the design, configuration, and optimisation of Oracle GL processes.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into appropriate Oracle solutions.
- Support General Ledger activities including accounting, journals, ledgers, calendars, currencies, intercompany, allocations, and period close.
- Work across EBS and Fusion Cloud environments, supporting transformation and integration between platforms.
- Lead requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design, and functional documentation.
- Support testing, including SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and regression testing.
- Investigate and resolve functional issues across Oracle Financials.
- Work closely with technical, integration, reporting, and data migration teams.
- Support data migration and reconciliation activities where required.
- Provide guidance on Oracle Financials best practice and help identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Support deployment, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live activities.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EBS Financials and Oracle Cloud Financials.
- Deep functional expertise in Oracle General Ledger.
- Proven experience across Oracle GL implementations, upgrades, transformations, or support engagements.
- Strong understanding of core financial accounting and period-end close processes.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Financials configuration and functional design.
- Ability to analyse complex requirements and translate them into practical Oracle solutions.
- Strong experience with functional testing, issue resolution, and stakeholder management.
- Experience working with technical and integration teams within Oracle programmes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a distributed/offshore delivery team.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
Desirable
- Oracle Financials certification.
- Experience across other Oracle Financials modules such as AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, or Intercompany.
- Experience with Oracle EBS to Fusion Cloud migration or transformation programmes.
- Experience with Oracle reporting and reconciliation tools.
- Previous experience working on large-scale global Oracle ERP programmes.
