The MRO Centre Lead is responsible for the oversight, control, and coordination of all nonproduction inventory, including spare parts, tools, consumables, and maintenance related supplies. This position ensures the timely availability, accuracy, and proper management of materials required to support equipment maintenance, facility operations, and overall manufacturing reliability. The role requires strong organizational capability, adherence to established procedures, and effective communication with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. production inventory, including spare parts, tools, consumables, and maintenance related supplies. Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- One to three years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or MRO related roles.
Essential Functions/Competency Level
Core Competencies and Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of MRO inventory management, maintenance operations, and tooling requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with ERP systems; CMS experience preferred
- Strong numerical accuracy, data entry proficiency, and analytical capability
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational discipline
- Ability to coordinate activities and communicate effectively across multiple shifts
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate and up to date inventory records within the ERP system‑to‑date inventory records within the ERP system
- Analyze consumption patterns and recommend adjustments to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock
- Receive, store, classify, and organize MRO materials in accordance with established procedures
- Utilize MRP tools to replenish inventory to defined target levels
- Conduct routine cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner
- Lead supplier walkthroughs and MRO Centre assessments to identify opportunities for consolidation, substitution, or cost reduction
- Escalate material shortages or critical issues to the SCO Manager as required
- Manage repairable items, including requisitioning, shipment coordination, and restocking upon return
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Share the Spares initiative to maximize internal resource utilization
Material Handling
- Issue parts, tools, and consumables to authorized personnel in accordance with established protocols
- Safely operate pallet jacks and other approved material handling equipment handling equipment
- Ensure all items are properly labeled, stored, and shelved to maintain traceability and accessibility
Customer and Operational Support
- Serve as the primary internal contact for part and supply requests
- Respond promptly to urgent or breakdown related material needs related material needs
- Assist in identifying substitute materials or locating unavailable items
- Collaborate with department leaders to ensure inventory readiness for planned maintenance, shutdowns, and new equipment installations
- Coordinate activities and task assignments for MRO Centre Associates on alternate shifts
Documentation and Reporting
- Record all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, returns, and adjustments
- Prepare and distribute reports on inventory levels, usage trends, and replenishment requirements
- Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and documentation requests
- Meet established KPI expectations related to accuracy, timeliness, and operational performance
