One of our key clients, a fast-growing Enterprise AI Solutions company, is looking for an experienced AI Engineer with hands-on experience in Generative AI, RAG, and AI Agents.
In this role, you will work closely with enterprise customers, understand complex business and technical requirements, and lead AI solution development from the proposal and PoC stages through architecture design, implementation, and production deployment.

Our client is a fast-growing Japanese AI company developing advanced Generative AI technologies and solutions for enterprise customers.
The company has strong in-house AI research and engineering capabilities, including the development of its own Japanese Large Language Model. Its technology combines proprietary LLMs, high-accuracy RAG, and AI Agents to help enterprises implement Generative AI in real business environments.
The company already supports more than 300 enterprise customers, including approximately 30% of Nikkei 225 companies.
About the Role
As an AI Engineer, your mission will be to solve complex business challenges for enterprise customers using Generative AI.
You will participate from the early proposal stage and work across the entire project lifecycle, including technical feasibility assessment, requirements definition, architecture design, roadmap planning, PoC, implementation, and production deployment.
You will work closely with customers, consultants, and internal engineering teams while remaining hands-on with the technology.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding customer business challenges and translating them into technical requirements
- Designing solutions using LLMs, RAG, and AI Agents
- Providing technical support during proposal and pre-sales phases
- Evaluating technical feasibility and defining project roadmaps
- Designing system architecture for customer-specific AI solutions
- Leading technical discussions with enterprise customers
- Estimating engineering effort and evaluating implementation feasibility
- Leading and supporting projects from a technical perspective
- Coordinating internal engineering resources
- Working across requirements definition, implementation, production operation, and continuous improvement
- Contributing directly to implementation when required
- Bringing insights from customer projects back into the company’s core AI platform and products

Requirements
Required:
- Hands-on development experience with RAG and AI Agents
- Professional experience working on AI-related projects for external customers
- Strong knowledge of Generative AI technologies
- Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively with both customers and engineering teams
- Business-level Japanese, including the ability to discuss technical topics
- Ability to reside and work in Japan
