Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to monitor, detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity threats. The candidate will help protect enterprise systems, networks, applications, and sensitive data by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing effective security controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts, logs, and network activity using SIEM tools.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, threats, and potential breaches.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities.
- Analyze malware, phishing attempts, suspicious activities, and security events.
- Maintain and monitor security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
- Conduct threat hunting and support incident-response investigations.
- Develop security reports, incident documentation, and security metrics.
- Assist with security audits, risk assessments, and compliance requirements.
- Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT, networking, cloud, and infrastructure teams to resolve security issues.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint security, and information security principles.
- Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, or similar.
- Knowledge of EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, vulnerability scanners, and security monitoring.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, Windows and Linux security.
- Experience with incident response and threat detection.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Bash is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics notes that a bachelor's degree is typical for information security analyst roles, although relevant training, experience, and certifications can also be pathways into the field.
