Job Description:
Responsibilities: As a Tableau Consultant, you will develop data products within the Ministry's business intelligence environment as part of a Scrum team, supporting the transition to Databricks.
- Developing and building extracts, workbooks, and dashboards using Tableau
- Translating user requirements into visualizations with an intuitive user experience
- Supporting the migration of Tableau dashboards from Azure to Databricks
- Collaborating with Product Owners and end users within the Scrum team
Context and Objectives
- Working within the Directorate for Information Provision and Digital Innovation (IDI), cluster Data Competence Centre BZ (DCBZ)
- Contributing to Foreign Affairs' ambition to grow into an information-driven, data-led organization
- Facilitating the development and management of a significant share of data products for the Ministry
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary Scrum team alongside Data Engineers, BI Consultants, and Tableau Developers
- Applying (big) data to operational, policy, and political challenges
Requirements
- Higher professional education (HBO) or university degree (WO) level
- Extensive knowledge of and at least 3 years of experience with Tableau Desktop (demonstrable, for instance, via a portfolio)
- Solid knowledge of and experience with SQL and Python
Preferences / Wishlist
- Experience with setting up and developing Tableau data sources
- Knowledge of and experience with Databricks and Microsoft Azure environments
- Knowledge of Databricks is a plus
- Experience as a User Experience (UX) designer
- Strong communication skills for interacting with users.
