Position Overview
A leading cloud technology organization is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, automate, and support highly available, secure cloud environments.
This role focuses on building and maintaining scalable infrastructure, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and optimizing cloud workloads for performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong cloud and Linux expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Build secure and reliable environments for large-scale workloads.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, reliability, and cloud costs.
- Troubleshoot complex production and infrastructure issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve system architecture, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Apply cloud platform and Linux expertise to resolve technical challenges.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, security, and other cross-functional teams.
- Develop and maintain automation tools and processes.
- Support continuous improvements to infrastructure reliability and scalability.
- Follow security and operational best practices across cloud environments.
- Contribute to technical documentation and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and engineering.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation.
- Understanding of networking, security, scalability, and high-availability concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience troubleshooting complex production environments.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and technical teams.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously develop cloud engineering expertise.
Compensation
$165,000 annually, with the final offer based on experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.
