Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)
NYC/SF - $200k - $300k + variable + meaningful equity at Series A
Growing team, confidential for now, backed by top tier VCs, building agentic AI systems that sit inside how companies actually generate revenue rather than alongside it.
Forward Deployed Engineer, but with genuine product ownership. You won't just be implementing against a fixed spec, you'll be working directly with the customers using the product and feeding what you learn back into what gets built. You'll write production code, design systems, and ship real technology, while spending enough time inside customer environments to understand where the product actually needs to go next.
What you'll do:
- Build and deploy agentic systems, integrations, and automations that solve real revenue problems
- Partner directly with go to market leaders, operators, and end users to understand how they actually work
- Turn messy, undefined customer requirements into deployed systems with measurable impact
- Feed what you learn on the ground back into core product direction, not just the services layer
- Own outcomes end to end, from first conversation through deployment and adoption
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of relevant post college experience
- Strong CS or software engineering background, proficient in Python, TypeScript, or similar
- Real curiosity about applying AI to commercial problems rather than research problems
- Strong user empathy and the ability to earn trust with executives, operators, and engineers alike
- AI native working style, using AI tools daily to build, analyze, and move fast
- Comfortable working on site five days a week and spending significant time with customers
