Requirements of the role
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the FCA’s supervisory relationships with assigned CRAs, using engagement and direct dialogue to support positive behavioural change and deliver effective regulatory outcomes
- Shape and deliver strategic supervisory initiatives across ratings processes, operational resilience and governance, helping to reduce harm and improve market integrity
- Apply expert judgement to identify emerging risks within credit ratings markets and support proportionate interventions that protect consumers and enhance confidence in the financial system
- Build close partnerships with senior stakeholders across the FCA, bringing insights together to inform supervisory priorities and decision-making
- Share expertise and contribute to a collaborative learning culture, supporting colleagues across Capital Markets and enhancing the FCA’s supervisory effectiveness
- Work closely with colleagues across supervisory teams to identify risks, solve complex challenges and deliver outcomes that help safeguard markets and improve the financial wellbeing of millions of consumers across the UK
