The job:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as Senior Director of Marketing and lead our marketing function forward. In this strategic leadership role, you'll support growth through innovative marketing strategies, with a focus on digital marketing, e-commerce, and demand generation. Working closely with Sales and Portfolio Management teams, you'll lead initiatives that enhance our market presence and operational excellence.
This position offers flexibility while leading a substantial marketing organization. You'll be instrumental in setting strategic direction, deploying marketing teams effectively, and managing product master data for Thermo Fisher Scientific. Your expertise in digital marketing and e-commerce will be crucial as you develop and implement data-driven marketing tactics that generate revenue growth.
The role involves collaboration with other divisions and external vendors, leveraging our strengths as a large-scale distributor. You'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact through innovative e-commerce initiatives while leading and developing a talented team in an international environment.
This role is office-based and can be based at a number of our European sites. Some international travel will be required – between 30-50% of working time, including overnight stays.

Who we are looking for:

Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in digital marketing and e-commerce within a B2B environment

Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Computer Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field

Proven expertise with marketing technology stacks and big data analytics

Strong track record of leading and implementing successful marketing strategies in retail/distribution

Demonstrated people leadership ability, with experience of managing managers and managing a large organisation

Experience working in an international, matrix organization

Advanced data science and analytics capabilities, with demonstrable results in implementing data-driven marketing initiatives

Strong business acumen and financial management skills

Proven ability to implement innovation and guide organizational change

Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration

Advanced level of English required

Ability to travel between 30-50% annually, including international travel with overnight stays
