Job Summary
We're looking for someone with at least 7 years of construction experience and with 1-2 years in a leadership role to join our team as a Construction Foreman. The ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades, comfortable with everything from carpentry to electrical work. We are a small business that is growing rapidly and we want a dedicated team player. We put a strong emphasis on quality construction and we expect any addition to our staff to exhibit these qualities.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent with installing and directing others in framing and installation of joists, rafters, floors, etc.
- Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs associated with maintenance work
- Maintain residential and commercial facilities and perform repairs on buildings
- Assist in determining the day’s workplan and instruct laborers in how to perform this work
- Inspect laborer’s work and correct when necessary
- Act as primary client contact when superintendent is not available
Qualifications
- Strong integrity and confident leader
- Excellent communication skills
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in extreme temperatures
- High capacity for patience and a willingness to train others
