We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support the EMEA Servers & Data Continuity team within a global enterprise environment. The role combines L3 operational support with infrastructure modernization, project delivery, automation, and technical governance across server, virtualization, backup, storage, and business continuity platforms. You will work with global and regional IT teams to maintain resilient infrastructure, resolve complex technical issues, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to transformation initiatives across a large multi-site organization.
Your tasks
- Providing L3 technical support for complex server, virtualization, storage, and backup incidents
- Managing enterprise backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and data continuity operations
- Driving infrastructure upgrades, migrations, modernization, and lifecycle management activities
- Leading troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem management initiatives
- Improving monitoring, automation, and operational efficiency across infrastructure services
- Collaborating with global IT teams, site teams, and external vendors on technical activities
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in enterprise IT infrastructure environments
- Hands-on expertise with VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, Windows Server, and Linux platforms
- Practical knowledge of enterprise backup, recovery, storage, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity practices
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, IAM, privileged access, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation
- Ability to lead infrastructure projects or technical workstreams within large, multi-site organizations
- Experience with ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and CMDB management
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills with the ability to work independently in a distributed global team
- Fluent English (minimum B2 level, C1 preferred)
Nice to have
- VMware, Microsoft, Veeam, Linux, Citrix, or ITIL Foundation certification
- Hands-on experience with Bash and/or Python scripting
- Familiarity with ServiceNow and ITSM tooling
- Exposure to infrastructure modernization and transformation initiatives
