About Inovexus
Inovexus is a community-powered venture platform backing early-stage technology companies across Europe. We combine investment, acceleration, experienced operators, and an active investor community to help ambitious founders build stronger companies and reach their next stage of growth.
The Role
You will own the financial monitoring, valuation, and decision-support engine across more than 37 portfolio companies and the investment vehicles through which Inovexus deploys and manages capital. You will create a reliable view of company and investment performance, runway, financing readiness, ownership, valuation, liquidity, and risk — and identify problems before they become crises.
This is not a traditional accounting role, a purely analytical investment position, or an advisory role performed from a distance. You will build the models, reporting processes, dashboards, and portfolio-health framework yourself, working directly with founders, supporting fundraising, leading the quarterly valuation workflow, preparing IC and investor reporting, and coordinating financial interventions when companies move off track.
What You Will Own
Portfolio Monitoring, Reporting & Early Warning
- Own the end-to-end monthly and quarterly reporting process
- Build a trusted single source of truth for performance, ownership, and material risks
- Track runway, cash burn, revenue, gross margin, and performance against plan
- Design a portfolio-health framework (On Track / At Risk / Off Track) with an action plan, owner, and review date for each company
Founder-Facing Strategic Finance
- Work directly with founders on forecasting, cash planning, KPI design, and board reporting
- Lead the financial workstream when a portfolio company moves off track
Fundraising & Financing Readiness
- Build and review financial models, runway scenarios, cap tables, data rooms, and investor materials
- Pressure-test raise amount, use of funds, dilution, and contingency runway
Investment Committee, Valuation & Follow-On Analysis
- Prepare finance sections of new-investment and follow-on IC materials
- Lead the quarterly portfolio valuation workflow
- Review company models and flag unsupported assumptions or false precision
Investor & Investment-Vehicle Reporting
- Support quarterly investor and management reporting
- Monitor capital deployment, reserves, follow-on requirements, and material cash movements
- Coordinate with fund administrators, accountants, auditors, and lawyers
Finance Systems, Controls & Automation
- Build a reporting process that doesn't depend on manual founder intervention
- Define reporting calendars, metric definitions, and approval workflows
- Use automation and AI to reduce manual data collection and accelerate reporting
Year-One Success Looks Like
- Reliable reporting flow across 90%+ of the portfolio
- Portfolio-health scoring model built and implemented
- Monthly reporting cycle reduced to under five business days
- Disciplined quarterly valuation process with clear evidence and ownership records
- Clear intervention plans for all At-Risk and Off-Track companies
- Improved visibility over capital deployment, reserves, and follow-on requirements
What We're Looking For
5–7 years across one or more of: venture capital or private-equity portfolio finance; investment banking or corporate finance; transaction services or financial due diligence; strategic finance or FP&A in a high-growth company; founder-facing fundraising or financial advisory.
You should also bring:
- Strong modelling across cash flow, runway, cap tables, dilution, valuation, and investor returns
- Experience building a reporting or valuation process from a blank page
- Ability to work with incomplete early-stage data without false precision
- Confidence working directly with founders and senior decision-makers
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
- High ownership and sound judgement
Helpful, But Not Required
Seed to Series A experience; exposure to B2B software, AI, DeepTech, ClimateTech, or FinTech; ACA, ACCA, CFA, CPA or equivalent; experience with SPVs, fund structures, or IPEV valuation principles.
What This Role Is Not
A book-keeping or statutory-accounting role. A sourcing or lead-generation position. A purely theoretical investment-analysis role. A consulting position where recommendations are handed to someone else to execute.
Why Join Inovexus
You'll build a strategically important finance and portfolio function from the ground up — with meaningful exposure to founders, investment decisions, fundraising processes, and senior leadership at a growing European venture platform.
