Job Description * In-house SME to administer, monitor, and maintain Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS) systems.
- Configure, secure, and optimize Linux services (systemd, SSH, Apache/Nginx, cron, etc.).
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to support enterprise applications.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated system issues.
- Identify, research, and implement Linux and OpenShift solutions and applications.
- Provide support to IT staff for technical and configuration issues related to Linux systems.
- Manage Linux security administration in collaboration with the information security team.
- Stay current on all Linux and OpenShift changes, updates, and new releases and keep IT staff informed on forthcoming changes.
- Work with vendors and other departments as required to support applications and environments.
- Work closely with the IT team to provide end-user support and issue resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging server tools and technologies.
- Create and maintain documentation for all Linux and OpenShift processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, patching schedules, and company policies.
- Participation in weekly on-call rotation to respond to after-hours issues.
- Coordinate with the rest of the IT team to meet the team objectives.
- Travel as needed to other data centers to meet business needs.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality

- Must be able to remain in a sitting stationary position for extended periods of time.
- Constantly operate a computer and other office machinery
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
