A well-established law firm is seeking a Utah Licensed Attorney to join its team and manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a long-term career with a collaborative legal team.
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of litigation experience and an active Utah Bar license. Previous experience in workers' compensation, insurance defense, but strong litigation attorneys with transferable experience may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of litigation matters
- Handle case preparation, development, and overall case management
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents
- Participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and court proceedings
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, claims professionals, and other parties
- Develop and execute case strategies
- Maintain calendars, deadlines, and case files
- Manage multiple cases and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain accurate and timely billing practices
Qualifications
- Active Utah Bar license required
- Must currently be located in Utah
- 2-4 years of litigation experience
- Previous workers' compensation or insurance experience
- Hearing, deposition, and/or court experience preferred
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong case management and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Strong attention to detail and sound legal judgment
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Compensation & Benefits
- $110,000+ annual salary, depending on experience
