Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Schedule: 3.5-Day Work Week

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine dental cleanings and preventive hygiene procedures.
- Complete patient assessments and review relevant medical and dental history.
- Take digital dental X-rays as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, preventive care, and periodontal health.
- Identify oral health concerns and communicate findings appropriately with the dental team.
- Support the development of individualized treatment recommendations.
- Create a comfortable, welcoming, and positive patient experience.
- Follow infection control, sterilization, HIPAA, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with dentists, dental assistants, and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Maine.
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program.
- Strong clinical and patient-care skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to educate patients effectively and build long-term relationships.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Knowledge of infection control and HIPAA requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Familiarity with digital dental imaging/X-ray systems.
- Experience in a family, general, or cosmetic dental practice.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base compensation.
- Performance-based bonus opportunity of approximately $1,000-$2,000 additional per month, depending on performance and practice production.
