Project Controller
Location: Stevenage
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week onsite
An exciting opportunity has become available for Project Controllers and Project Planners to join a growing Project Control function within a leading organisation supporting the delivery of complex programmes.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and encouraging environment, developing your project control skills and building your career across a range of positions requiring different levels of experience.
The opportunity:
• Support project health assessments, validating project data and identifying key issues and risks
• Assess and validate project schedules to ensure they are accurate, coherent and aligned with programme planning principles
• Lead the development and management of integrated baseline schedules to support successful programme delivery
• Validate project costs to go and associated forecasts, including reviewing outlying forecasts to support Estimate at Completion (EAC)
• Lead Schedule Risk Analysis across projects where appropriate
• Support new business and bid team activity, ensuring effective project management controls and processes are considered and implemented
• Generate and analyse project performance data across schedule, resource and cost
What we're looking for from you:
• Experience in project planning, ranging from detailed planning through to summary-level milestone delivery plans
• Experience creating and maintaining project structures including WBS/CBS/OBS
• Proven ability to generate and analyse project performance data covering schedule, resource and cost
• Experience with Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA), Critical Path Analysis and Earned Value
Management (EVM)
• Knowledge of baseline management and change control
• Experience using project management toolsets such as SAP, ARM, Primavera or Oracle Unifier
• Understanding of resource-loaded schedules
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend corrective action
Desirable experience:
• Experience contributing to Estimate at Completion (EAC) / Forecast Cost at Completion reviews
• Knowledge of Risk & Opportunity management and What-If analysis
