This is workign with a fast-growing UK engineering startup, developing high-performance electric propulsion systems for autonomous and defence platforms.
They’re moving from prototypes into volume production and need a Senior Mechanical Engineer who can own hardware from concept through to something that can actually be manufactured at scale.
Expect to work on high-speed motors, shafts, bearings, housings, rotor assemblies, thermal challenges and the machinery/processes needed to build them.
The Essentials
1. Mechanical Engineering Expertise
Strong fundamentals and the ability to own mechanical designs rather than just CAD someone else's ideas.
2. Startup mentality
Comfortable moving quickly, dealing with ambiguity and building cool products without needing a huge team or process around you.
3. Things that move
Experience designing rotating machinery, motors, electromechanical systems or other machines with moving parts.
Big bonus if you have experience with electric motors, thermal analysis, FEA, aerospace/UAVs, defence, SolidWorks, DFM or taking hardware from prototype into production.
You'll join a small engineering team where the decisions you make now will end up in the production hardware.
