We are looking for a Wi-Fi Network Engineer to join a team that builds, maintains, and develops wireless infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring the stable operation of the company's Wi-Fi networks and participating in the design, optimization, and implementation of new solutions.
Our client is a large Ukrainian retail chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Administration and optimization of Wi-Fi infrastructure
- Design of wireless networks based on business requirements
- Configuration of SSIDs, VLANs, QoS, and access policies
- Implementation of Wi-Fi network security mechanisms
- Analysis of the radio environment (interference, coverage, roaming) and optimization of network coverage
- Incident resolution and troubleshooting of network issues
- Automation of routine tasks using APIs / scripting
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience as a Wireless Network Engineer (Wi-Fi + Network Engineering)
- Hands-on experience in administering and optimizing Wi-Fi infrastructure
- Experience with one or more of the following solutions:
- FortiAP
- Cisco WLC
- Aruba Central
- Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with:
- SSID
- VLAN
- QoS
- access policies
- Good understanding of Wi-Fi security principles, including:
- WPA2 / WPA3
- 802.1X
- Guest Access
- Experience analyzing and resolving medium-complexity incidents (troubleshooting)
- Ability to work with technical documentation
- Fluent Ukrainian
NICE TO HAVE
- CWNA / CWSP certification
- Cisco CCNA Wireless or Aruba ACMA certification
- Experience with Ekahau
