We’re looking for an experienced Backend Engineer for our clients to help build the infrastructure behind next-generation AI agents for commerce.
You’ll work on systems that enable AI agents to understand user intent, interact with complex business APIs, retrieve real-time product information, and safely execute multi-step actions.
What you’ll do
- Build scalable backend services for AI-powered agents and workflows
- Develop secure tool/API integrations for commerce and transactional systems
- Solve large-scale retrieval, grounding, and data freshness challenges
- Design safeguards including authorization, idempotency, rollback, and auditability
- Build evaluation, monitoring, and observability for production AI systems
- Optimize AI applications for latency, reliability, and cost
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong Python skills; Go/Java is a plus
- Experience with distributed systems and high-scale production services
- Background in ML-powered systems such as search, recommendation, ranking, personalization, or risk
- Hands-on experience deploying LLM/AI systems to production
- Understanding of AI agents, tool calling, orchestration, and multi-turn workflows
- Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and IaC

Salary: Around ¥7M–¥10M
