Hiring: Jr. DevSecOps Engineer
Location: Washington, DC – Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)

What You'll Work On
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated and consistent software delivery.
- Support progressive deployment strategies such as blue/green and canary deployments.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS and tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Containerize applications and support secure, optimized, and patched container images.
- Implement monitoring, logging, vulnerability scanning, and security controls.
- Support security documentation and evidence for ATO (Authority to Operate) processes.
- Apply shift-left security practices, including SAST, DAST, SCA, and policy-as-code.
- Work with modern AI-assisted developer tools as part of the engineering lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers, engineers, and security teams while continuously learning and growing.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in software development, platform engineering, DevOps, or operations engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and hands-on experience with at least one pipeline tool.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies.
- Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, or ATO processes.
- Experience with security/vulnerability scanning tools such as SAST, DAST, SCA, or policy-as-code.
- AWS experience or certification.
- Federal IT experience.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
