The HSE Director will provide strategic leadership, governance and assurance across Malaysia's data center operations, major construction projects, offices and future expansion initiatives.
You will serve as the principal HSE advisor to the Malaysia General Manager and Country Leadership Team, while working closely with Group HSE and representing the organization with customers, regulators, certification bodies, contractors and industry stakeholders.

Scope:
Develop and execute the Malaysia HSE Strategy
Establish HSE goals, KPIs, risk programs and continuous improvement plans
Lead and integrate the Malaysia HSE organization across operations + construction
Build a unified "One Stop" HSE operating model and culture
Lead and develop HSE Managers, professionals and site teams
Drive a Zero Harm / Zero Incident culture
Ensure compliance with Malaysian HSE legislation and regulatory requirements
Build strong relationships with DOSH, BOMBA, DOE, CIDB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga and other authorities
Lead customer HSE audits, assurance programs and hyperscaler engagements
Provide executive HSE governance for greenfield, expansion and fit-out projects
Oversee critical construction risks including energization, commissioning, work at height, confined spaces, lifting & rigging, SIMOPS and permit-to-work
Ensure robust operational controls covering electrical safety, LOTO, arc flash, fire & life safety, emergency response and contractor management
Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis and organizational learning
Required Skills:
Overall 18+ years of progressive HSE experience in high-risk industries
10+ years in HSE management, 5+ years in senior HSE leadership roles.
Experience leading geographically dispersed HSE teams.
Strong experience across operational facilities AND major construction environments.
Demonstrated experience transforming, integrating or restructuring HSE organizations.
Strong exposure to Hyperscale Data Centers, Oil & Gas or comparable high-risk sectors.
Desired Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Occupational Safety & Health / Environmental Management / Science or related discipline
Master's degree advantageous
NEBOSH Diploma / CMIOSH / CSP / CRSP or equivalent preferred
ISO 45001 Lead Auditor / ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 implementation experience
Any Additional expertise in Fire Safety, Environmental Management, Process Safety or Business Continuity is advantageous.
