Join ArcelorMittal's European Procurement Organization (EPO), a global procurement organization responsible for securing strategic goods and services across our international operations. As a Buyer Logistics with German, you will contribute to optimizing logistics procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives across Europe.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies within the areas of Ports, Barging, and Logistics Platforms.
- Manage supplier relationships and participate in contract negotiations to secure the best value for the business.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across European plants to understand business requirements and ensure continuity of logistics services.
- Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify cost optimization opportunities and innovative logistics solutions.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support strategic sourcing projects with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Identify and mitigate supply chain and logistics risks.
- Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, internal controls, and SOX requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional projects focused on process improvement and standardization.
What We Are Looking For:
- University degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in procurement, logistics, supply chain, or strategic sourcing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Confidence in working with contracts, suppliers, and negotiations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an international environment and build strong business relationships.
- Project management skills and a proactive mindset.
- German and English proficiency at a minimum B2/C1 level.
- Knowledge of logistics, transportation, or industrial procurement will be considered an asset.
